The LocalTrifecta Inbound Marketing Blog is now officially open to guest blog posts on topics related to digital marketing. This includes posts on Pay Per Click Advertising, Search Engine Optimization, Blogging, Content Marketing, Local Search, Social Media, Video Marketing, Conversion Rate Optimization and more.
In this post, I’ll detail all that you need to know about getting your thoughts, ideas and experience onto our blog!

Who Can Guest Blog On The LocalTrifecta Inbound Marketing Blog?
Really anyone is open to guest blogging for us - so long as your post fits into one of the above topics. I’ll go into the process in a bit but if you’ve got an idea, let us know.
The Benefits Of Guest Blogging On LocalTrifecta’s Blog On Everything Digital Marketing
Think of guest blogging as your chance to step into a new network of people and enlighten them. And we all know first impressions are everything - so your first guest post will need to be informative and engaging.
But aside from putting your name and ideas in front of a new audience (of around 1,000 monthly visitors and rapidly growing), you’ll have the opportunity to display a short bio of yourself, an accompanying headshot along with a link to your website.
NOTE: Any articles filled with spammy links will be rejected. Please think carefully about what you’re referencing and linking to in your articles.
Nevertheless, the purpose should be to educate and share. We welcome such posts with open arms.
Quick Tips: Blogging Best Practices
I want this to be as easy for you as possible. Earlier this month, I wrote a blog post on the essential SEO tips for Small Business Blogs. I’d say those apply here. Let me summarize and to them:
-
Pick a relevant topic to your audience - for LocalTrifecta guest posts, have it be relevant to business owners of small to medium sized businesses, as well as marketing managers of mid-sized firms.
-
Make sure you’re writing to educate the reader.
-
Have an introduction, body and conclusion.
-
Include some actionable takeaways, if possible.
-
Use numerical and bulleted lists when possible.
-
Include at least 2 royalty-free images, with 1 of them being in the top-third of the post.
-
Optimize your headings and subheadings.
-
Optimize your title tags, URL and meta description.
-
Put a Call-To-Action at the bottom. *This is a general best practice but we’ll provide this in your guest post so don’t worry!*
-
Create a unique, catchy headline.
-
Source all facts and hyperlink them in the text itself.
-
Don’t keyword stuff!
-
Consider drafting your post on your website using WordPress SEO By Yoast (assuming you have a WordPress site) before sending it to us.
-
Get at least one other person to read it over before submitting.
-
Avoid being self-promotional in your article. Leave that for the author bio.
Stick to these best practices and not only will you have a guest blog post that will be found well in search engines, but one that will be consumed well by the LocalTrifecta audience.
The Process
So you now know why you should guest blog for us and what you can guest blog on. Now, it’s time to tell you how you can take action.
-
Send an article pitch to guestpost@localtrifecta.com. Briefly explain what your post will be about and why you think it’ll be beneficial for our audience.
-
We’ll either accept your idea or suggest a different avenue.
-
If your idea is accepted, go ahead and write it! (Review the above best practices!)
-
Once you think your post is all ready for submission, send it to us for review.
-
We may revise your post.
Important Notes:
-
The LocalTrifecta team reserves the right to edit and modify your article once submitted.
-
We cannot allow you to re-publish your article on your own blog or other websites once it’s been published on our’s - Google hates duplicate content and will penalize.
Got any questions? Leave a comment below. As mentioned, send your pitches to guestpost@localtrifecta.com.
Happy blogging!
